Mittens:  These mittens are made out of superwash wool with silver lined glass jewelry beads.    The retail value of the mittens would be $45.  The yarn is hand made and kettle dyed in Chile by a mother-daughter team.  The pattern is an adaptation of a sock pattern designed  by Sivia Harding for Blue Moon Fiber Arts.

Scarf:  This item is knit with four balls of Noro Silk Garden -- a handspun yarn produced in Japan by Eisaku Noro.  It would retail ready made for about $90-$100.  The design was suggested on a knitting blog by Jared Flood, called "Brooklyn Tweed".  The predominant colors in this scarf will be shades of green and blue in a simple rib stitch.

January 26, 2009 Happy Chinese New Year!  It's the year of the Ox.  Some of the characteristics of the Ox include:  Calm, patient character; industrious; and, at times, may impose their will on others. 

January 6, 2009 All classes cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Fire Dragon Martial Arts Studio will be closed 24, 25, 26 December to celebrate the holiday.  Classes will resume December 27, 2008 @ 9:00am.  Happy Holidays to All!
